The Society for the Analysis of Human Motor Activity and its Clinical Application (GAMMA) awards a science prize of €2,000 every 2 years for the best publication in the field of clinical movement analysis.
The prize is sponsored by the company prophysics AG.
Requirements
The scientific paper accepted for publication is primarily intended to demonstrate the clinical relevance of movement analysis. Specifically, the results of the work should show the usefulness and importance of movement analysis in the treatment and therapy planning of certain pathologies. Published case reports can also be submitted. Which methods or measuring systems were used is irrelevant. The paper may be written in German or English and must have been published or accepted for publication in the year of submission or in the previous year. Works that have already been awarded other prizes are excluded. There is no age limit for the applicant. The submission should be made by the first author of the publication. Deviations must be justified.
Award ceremony
The award ceremony will take place during the GAMMA Congress (03/04 March 2023) in Heidelberg. The work is to be presented and discussed there with a lecture.
Application
GAMMA membership is not mandatory for application and there is no age limit. It is requested that the publication be submitted by e-mail as a PDF document to the 1st Chair of GAMMA, PD Dr Felix Stief (felix.stief@kgu.de), by 30.11.2022. Please also include a statement on the clinical relevance of the results as well as a scientific CV including a list of publications as a PDF document. The evaluation is carried out by the GAMMA Executive Committee and the Congress Scientific Committee.
